Dinas Powys
Located just outside the old village of Dinas Powys, Dinas Powis Golf Club offers dramatic views over the Bristol Channel, Penarth and the Vale.
With its par 68, 5595 yard course, the club is a favourite of many golfers. Famous for its free draining soil and excellent condition, the course is available for play all year round and barely succumbs to weather, even in adverse conditions!
The course was established in 1914 under the direction of two-time Open Champion Willie Park Jnr, and later expanded to an 18 hole course by five-time British Open Champion James Braid. During World War Two, part of the course was turned over to food production as part of the war effort.
The Club offers a range of amenities including trolley and buggy rental, and changing room and shower facilities. After your game, you can enjoy a warm welcome and good conversation in the clubhouse overlooking the 18th hole, with its wide selection of home cooked meals and refreshments.
Only a 15 minute drive from the M4 and Cardiff's vibrant city centre, you'll find plenty to do during your stay.
